All of our incredible tutors share the same vision that incorporating mindfulness into every day education helps to empower children’s minds.

Emilie Tweed

Emilie is a passionate educator and nurturer of young minds.

With a background in teaching and as a mother of two, she understands the importance of creating a safe and holistic space in which children can develop and flourish. A strong believer in an individualised approach, where comparison can be unhelpful and every child “runs their own best race”.  A degree from the University of Exeter in Educations Studies set the foundation for her approach. After graduating, Emilie worked in the financial services in the City of London gaining insight into modern lifestyle and work-life balance. A PGCE at Roehampton University further solidified her desire to teach, however, she realised the importance of doing this in a holistic and child-centred approach.

Emilie has experience in working in inner London schools across both private and state sectors. She has detailed knowledge of selective entrance exams at 7+ and 11+ in addition to SATS (KS1 and KS2) and has a keen interest in working with children with additional needs. Emilie has a particular interest in speech and language development and has worked closely alongside speech and language therapists in supporting children. Emilie is currently undertaking her diploma training at the centre of excellence in MBSR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction). She believes that a happy child is a successful child; using her experience in education and mindfulness, her priority is to encourage children to find the joy in learning and allow them to maximise their potential.

Aimee Sheridan

Aimee’s range of education experience aids her holistic approach with children of all abilities.

While completing her undergraduate degree she first stepped into education as a nursery day care assistant. Since then she has graduated from West London’s Brunel University with a PGCE in Primary Education. Aimee has worked across a range of inner London schools with experience ranging from EYFS to Lower KS2. She has spent her qualified teaching years in Year 1 and 2. Working within KS1, she has built up a range of experience teaching children of all abilities and preparing classes for their phonics screening and end of KS1 SAT’s.

Aimee first began to gain interest in a holistic approach when she saw the impact that the stresses of the school system can have on a child. She is a firm believer that every child has a unique experience with education and her goal is to help them achieve their full ability. Incorporating mindfulness into her everyday teaching practise has proven a beneficial way to ensure that children can acquire their full potential in a happy, positive way.

Harmindar Kaur

Harminder has been teaching and supporting young minds since 2016 after receiving her PGCE from Brunel University.

Prior to beginning her career as a class teacher, she worked as a 1:1 support assistant with SEN children, which provided her an opportunity to help children, who struggled to access the curriculum for their age. Since beginning her career in teaching she has built up a wealth of experience as a Year 2 class teacher, which has involved preparing classes to sit their end of KS1 Sat's.

Working in KS1 can be a stressful period for young children with the transition from EYFS and to KS2. Therefore, she is always exploring methods to best support the children in the class and use these skills in their everyday life. Harmindar has noticed many positive outcomes since introducing mindfulness techniques into everyday teaching. She strongly believes teaching children skills to become mindful learners has improved outcomes and most importantly children's mental wellbeing.
