Kerry is the founder of The Mindful Mentors and President of the eco-conscious clothing company Faherty Brand. She graduated from Yale University with a B.A. degree in psychology and received her J.D. from Pepperdine Law School. She is admitted to practice law in New York State. She obtained a Certificate in Trauma Studies from the International Trauma Studies Program, affiliated with Columbia University, and has completed human rights fact-finding missions Africa, Asia, and the Middle East. After clerking for Federal Magistrate Judge Joan Azrack in the Eastern District of New York, she founded The Mindful Mentors, LLC, which provides mindfulness meditation tutorials and workshops to individuals, schools, law firms, and corporations. She has trained in mindfulness with monks in Lopburi, Thailand, the Mindful Awareness Research Center, the Mindful Based Stress Reduction, the Insight Center, and received her certificate from the OMEGA institute for Teaching Mindfulness to Children Grades K-12. Her Mindful Mentors’ clients have included Google, Yale, Columbia School for Social Work, Cardozo Law School, St. John’s University, Arnold & Porter, LLP, New York County Bar Association, Harper’s Bazaar, the Eastern District of New York’s SOS Program, middle and high schools, consulting firms, and a myriad other organizations. She has created individualized mindfulness curriculums for schools and Brooklyn Criminal Court and specializes in the creation of customized mindfulness strategies.
